Gallery 8 New York is located in a newly developed and historic 19th century building in Harlem.


The gallery is located on Frederick Douglass Boulevard (cross street 139th Street), at the end of Striver's Row, and is a stone’s throw away from the City College of New York campus and just north of Central Park.


The location of Harlem, New York is significant as a place that is thriving with a culturally diverse community. Harlem’s rich history of art, music and theatre is still prominent, and the neighbourhood is abundant with artist studios, music venues, bars and coffee shops.


The gallery scene is Harlem is thriving and diverse, being close to Frieze and internationally recognised galleries (from Gavin Brown to the Studio Museum and Claire Oliver), Gallery 8 has hosted both significant New York artists and internationally recognised names.
